Your Author – for you to see clearly the, “trident-shaped birthmark” on her forehead which symbolizes “the Mark of Lord Shiva” – “The Destroyer.”

I was born with this as well. It shines when I’m in sunlight but I don’t quite know why I have it. Is it because I’ve been blessed by Lord Shiva? I’m extremely grateful for the mark but I’m also confused.

    1. Hello Prysha, thank you for your comment.

What I can tell you, with absolute honesty and certainty, is the following fact: I was born with a reddish-brown coloured, trident shaped birthmark on my forehead and with a certain innate, instinctive knowledge of the psychology of human behaviour – not got from any book learning; it was always there somehow – and this instinctive knowledge grew as my experiences of living many years on our Earth grew.

This birthmark stays subdued under normal life circumstances, but it turns a dark, brick-red colour if I get enraged due to any unnecessary provocation, manipulative and dishonest behaviour, or if I have had to suffer any undue injustice of any sort. At such a time, I start feeling a burning sensation on my forehead and I get a headache from the build-up of enraged anger that begs to be vented. It does not happen often because I try to keep my anger strictly in control. I am not proud of my rage – but sometimes Anger, when it is tempered with kindness, compassion and understanding can make a positive impact, like nothing else can. It dispels negativity and darkness. Anger has to be used only when absolutely necessary.

Even as a child, I recall that being a good human being was very, very important to me. I always tried to be good to other people, even when I sometimes did not get a similar reaction from them.

We must try our level best to treat people with basic goodness, as far as possible, because if we stoop to their level of lowly, unacceptable behaviour, then we become like the negative people themselves. What is the sense in continuing a vicious cycle of negativity?

The moment we understand WHY certain people behave in the negative way that they do, this knowledge immediately predicts a correct, positive reaction from our side. If someone is being unnecessarily rude, it does not mean that we need to be rude too. Kindness begets kindness. Compassion begets compassion. Respect begets respect. Love begets love.

Over the years, my personal experiences have taught me many hard lessons about human behaviour and I feel strongly that I need to share this knowledge with other people. I started penning my blogs on my site – http://www.hookedoninspiration.org since 2012, and I continue my blog writing till date. The main intention behind penning these posts, with a worldwide public viewership, is to promote: “A Better Tomorrow; a Better Future and a Better World.” This blog site aims at having the maximum readers, from around the globe, to make this goal a reality – OUR REALITY.

While many people may consider this ideal as being lofty and unrealistic, they will soon change their mind after reading a few of my blog posts. What I suggest is a distinct possibility only if the world chooses to make it so. As the expression goes, I can only lead the horse to drink fresh water from the gurgling stream but I cannot force the matter. This is a two-way process- it requires a conscious effort and consistent discipline to make it a reality.

The moment that each of us realises that we need to look beyond the end of our nose; the moment that we realise that other people and their feelings matter too; the moment that we put our positivity and benevolence into active practice in our daily lives, then that will surely lead the way to the dawning of a new era, signalling a better future and a better world for us all.

I hope my detailed answer adequately answers your question. If you have such a birthmark, good for you. What you do about it, is something that you (& you alone) can decide.
